SU Specialists was founded by people who know what it means to keep a classic running.

Our background is in classic motorcycle parts — for years we supplied AMAL carburettor components to enthusiasts across the UK and beyond. When we sold that business, we knew we weren't done. Classic cars fitted with SU carburettors face exactly the same challenges: parts that are increasingly hard to find, and carburettors that haven't seen a proper service in decades.

So we set up SU Specialists. 

SU carburettors — same philosophy: stock the right parts, know them properly, and be genuinely useful to the people who buy from us.

The Refurbishment Service

Our refurbishment work is carried out by a specialist who has been rebuilding carburettors for decades — first in the motorcycle world, now exclusively for classic cars. This isn't a sideline; it's a craft.

Every carburettor that comes through our door is stripped, inspected, cleaned, rebuilt with new parts where needed, and tested before it goes back to you. We'll tell you honestly if something isn't worth saving — but in our experience, most can be.

The SU carburettor is one of the great British engineering successes. Simple in principle, elegant in design, and remarkably effective when properly set up — it's fitted to thousands of classic cars from
