Genuine SU Dashpot Damper Assembly (Black Plastic) — Part Number: AUC 8112.

The dashpot damper slows the rise of the suction piston to provide a momentary rich mixture on sharp acceleration. A missing, wrong, or worn damper causes flat spots and hesitation. It is essential that the correct part is fitted — dampers vary by carburettor type. For Brass version order AUC 8112HB.

Fits: HIF series carburettors (HIF4, HIF6, HIF44). Mini (later), Metro, Rover SD1, Range Rover, Jaguar.

Note: Brass variants (HB = Hexagonal Brass, RB = Round Brass) are also available for a premium appearance. Fill dashpot with correct grade SU dashpot oil after fitting.
